There is always a little tension scheduling a photo shoot in Michigan in November. \u00a0It could be freezing, snowing, raining, cold, or all of the above. \u00a0Thankfully, we had an amazing day. \u00a0The light was just right. \u00a0And as I always say…it’s all about the light.<\/p>\n

I love Celery Flats in Kalamazoo. It has a lot of really interesting architecture and it gives images a lot of character. Triston has a charater all his own. I loved this shot because it was one of the first and I was able to see that he has a real easy way about him.<\/p>\n

Triston was not a big fan of giving me a wide open-no holding back smile–but, that is pretty typical for a guy. \u00a0If I had a smile like this–I would be smiling all the time–but, I’m not a guy…so…\"Triston-28\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We also went to Al Sabo Nature Preserve. \u00a0I could see that this was his more natural environment and I really, really, really love the colors and the textures in these woods. \u00a0\"Triston-19\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This was late-late fall… \u00a0right before the snow fell later that week. \u00a0Who says you need fall leaves all bright and brilliant–I won’t hesitate to take late fall pictures in the future. \u00a0\"Triston-16\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Another shot from Celery Flats. \u00a0Triston is tall–not sure you can tell how tall he really is from this shot, but I was grateful for angles and steps because I am short–glad you can’t tell exactly how short I am from these images either!

I am finally learning to love Black and White Images. \u00a0It has taken me a while. \u00a0There are only certain ones I see in Black and White. \u00a0Again…it is all about the light…and I love this one…\"Triston-8\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This is one of my favorites. I wish he would have smiled that smile-but this is the Triston I met that day. \u00a0Calm-sure-and ready to start the next part of his life…I could sense it.\"Triston-6\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And the very reason I love Celery Flats is this barn. \u00a0I could do a million things pertaining to this barn. \u00a0I hope it stays here forvever…and Triston, I hope these pictures are a tribute to all the future hold for you. \u00a0Memories of the past and looking forward to a great future! \u00a0Blessings all along the way-it was amazing working with you…and your mom!\"Triston<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
